This is a classic hand carved cameo in Carnelian shell featuring flying hair woman in profile. She has fresh, even features with a rather solemn expression on her lovely face. The cameo is simply framed in unmarked silver(?) setting Total weight of piece: 7.79 grams. Total measures approxemetly 1-5/8” X 1 1/4” or 40 mm. by 30 mm. The piece has a pin bar as well as a hinged bail. Terrific sample of Art Nouveau Style. Beginning of XX century
