Beautifully done from the end of XIX century 14K (no marks but tested by previous owner ) Carnelian Shell Cameo in the Perfect condition. This Beauty is Huge - 1 -5/8” x 2-1/8” (42 mm. by 55 mm.) oval , weight is -20.31 gr. A classic motif, drawn from Greek mythology, this antique shell-cameo brooch has an exquisitely-carved scene of Hero the goddess of youth and the divine cupbearer to the gods serving the Eagle of Zeus.
