The cameo is framed in a gorgeous 18K yellow gold handcrafted setting that shows a small beaded motif with a blue enamel frame. Napoleon Empire time (1805-1813). Exceptional work! The shell here is very light in color and translucent. The piece still has it’s original pin bar & catch, also tested as 18K gold. Little stress line (lower right picture)-on the back side of the head of French Leader. Except this - cameo is perfect. Pin measures 1-1/8” X 1” (not including the extending pin bar). Total weight of piece: 6.1 grams
