Selene - the goddess of the moon, huge antique shell carved in 1830-1840. Embedded in unmarked gold plated or pinchbeck filigree bezel, with decorative leaves motif. Pretty good condition but few stress lines noticeable only throw light from the back. Total measures 78 mm. long by 65 mm. with 27.8 grams.
