Old Shell Cameo portrait of Alexander the Great Pendant of circa 1840. Gold or GF bezel from later period.

This Pendant total measures is 45 mm x 30 mm. Total Weight is 9.21 gr. , and set in beautiful rear style gold or gold filled bezel later (end of XIX - beginning of XX century). The shell is free from any breaks, cracks, or chips, and has some gorgeous light coloring. The detail is very crisp and sharp and according to expert is the portrait of Alexander the Great. Created in the first half of XIX century - original, vintage piece. Not sure about metal . Cameo in the very good condition (specially according to age.)
