Georgian silhouette brooch from the turn of 18 and 19 centuries. Detailed image of young man, probably Adonis - Greek Good of Beauty. The cameo set into unmarked but tested, according to previous owner as at least 14K Gold, newer (end of 19 century) bezel. Sardonyx Cameo has a crack and very little chip which is fixed and stable. Brooch measures 28 by 40 (mm.) Weight is 7.4 gram. Nice detailed work.
