Venus sending to woman Cupid - Symbol of Love Vermeil (gold over sterling), signed Brooch & Pendant circa 1890

Mythology Scene of Venus (Roman Goddess of Love) sending Cupid to the Woman. Victorian Vintage carved in Carnelian Shell around 1890, set in Vermeil (gold over sterling silver - marked on the back) with fabulous Brooch & Pendant bezel. There is two spots of pealing on the back of the Cameo but they do not show from the front. Amazing quality of carving. Total measurement 2-1/2” by 1-5/8” or 55 mm. by 40 mm. Weight of this beauty is 15.37 grams. Sculptors plaque on the back but I cannot make out the letters.
